TRAFFIC CALMING TRASH CAN STICKER
In an effort to calm traffic and increase bicycle and pedestrian safety on residential streets, the Community Traffic Safety Coalition has developed a sticker to be placed on curbside waste collection bins. The sticker has been approved for use in the City of Santa Cruz.

How does it work?
Because waste collection bins are usually visible just once per week, the sticker is more likely to be noticed than permanent signage.

What can I do?
• Request a sticker for your trash can. After submitting the form below, you will receive your sticker in the mail. Encourage your neighbors to request a sticker.
• Groupings of stickers may increase visibility. Tell your neighbors about this website! For presentations to community groups, contact the Community Traffic Safety Coalition at 454-4141.

Who supports the Traffic Calming Trash Can Sticker program?
Development of the sticker was made possible by members of the Community Traffic Safety Coalition and a grant from the Santa Cruz County Cycling Club.
